NEA Big Read: Letters from a Garden: Writing and Planting at the Wildcat Neighborhood Farm
Join us for a writing and gardening workshop at CWU's Wildcat Neighborhood Farm inspired by Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude's fascination with the garden as the site of collective joy and community. Participants will weed, plant, write and read under the guidance of the CWU Wildcat Farm Manager and CWU graduate student, Madison Flint. Free custom notebooks and pencils will be provided. Participants will receive a copy of Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude and a copy of Lace & Pyrite: Letters from Two Gardens by Ross Gay and Aimee Nezhukumatathil. Hosted by the CWU Wildcat Neighborhood Farm and the CWU English Department. Location: Wildcat Farm, corner of North Alder Street and East 14th Avenue. Parking is free on East 14th Avenue and along both sides of North Alder Street. No registration required. Maximum attendance: 25 The CWU Libraries has received a 2023 NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) Big Read grant for its proposed community events and activities featuring Ross Gay's collection of poetry, A Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude.
