The Washington State departments of Natural Resources (DNR) and Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) are hosting open houses Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10 for the Naneum Ridge to Columbia River Recreation Plan. The planning area, located in Kittitas and Chelan counties, is within a 30 minute drive of both Wenatchee and Ellensburg. It includes Naneum Ridge State Forest, managed by DNR, and the Colockum Wildlife Area and the Quilomene Wildlife and Whiskey Dick Wildlife Units of the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area, managed by WDFW.
Community dialog and ideas from local residents and businesses will be vital to helping the agencies make sound decisions as we plan how to achieve sustainable recreation opportunities for the next 10 to 15 years. Part of this dialog includes two community meetings. We’d like to invite you to attend.
