Operating Engineers' Top Hand Competition

The Top Hand Competition is open to the public and is a rare opportunity to see heavy equipment up close and personal. Highly skilled Union operators will display their talents as they go head-to-head in a contest to be crowned the best of the best. During the event, there will be an opportunity for the public to operate an Excavator, Backhoe, and Crane. There will also be plenty of activities for the youngsters including: jumpy house, hay hunt, face painting, balloon animals, sandbox fun, arts and crafts, carnival games, and more. There will be a FREE BBQ lunch, popcorn, cotton candy and other goodies.  Our Training Coordinators and other staff members will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the Apprenticeship Program or Training Center. Come visit your neighborhood Training Center and watch us in action!
