Operation Lorax
Operation Lorax was a project developed by an Americorp Armed Serviced Coordinator stationed with the Red Cross to replant trees in areas affected by the Taylor Bridge Fire. This project will now be entering it's second phase to replant more trees on Lookout Mountain. This event is a cooperation of the American Red Cross, Americorps and Mountain to Sound Greenway. They will be providing educational opportunities about the importance of caring for public lands and engage volunteers in planting trees on Lookout Mountain, which was affected by the Taylor Bridge Fire. The event is free, but participants should dress for the weather and terrain. Light refreshments will be provided at the site. Registration begins at Noon.
