The Business Development Center is located at 216 N Pennsylvania Ave in Cle Elum. 

Sunflower Preschool teaches children to love learning in a holistic manner. We believe teaching life skills are equally as important as teaching ABC's & 123's throughout a child's growth. At Sunflower Preschool, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Preschool offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional, and physical milestones naturally and with ease.

Sunflower Preschool LLC opened in April of 2021. Sunflower Preschool is an endeavor by Katrina and David Douglas that is the result of Katrina's dream of becoming a preschool teacher. Through their pairing Katrina and David bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and commitment to this becoming a reality for the Ellensburg Community. They are 20-year members of the Ellensburg community. Katrina Douglas is the Owner & Lead Teacher. She has a teaching certificate in elementary education from CWU. She previously worked in the field of helping seniors for over a decade for the City of Ellensburg. Katrina, with her education, experience, and passion for teaching is a massive asset to children across the community.

The Business Development Center is a service of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Startup funding was provided by Suncadia Community Enhancement Fund.
