Join us in the Teanaway Community Forest on Saturday, September 12, for Salmon 101! This event, suitable for all ages, will introduce participants to what salmon need to complete their lifecycle, from redds to the ocean and back. Scientist Kurt Fresh will teach us about salmon in the Teanaway, and we’ll have the opportunity to walk by active habitat restoration sites. Participants will receive an email with location and weather information the week before the event. During Salmon 101, you’ll learn about the history and goals of the Teanaway Community Forest, local salmon, and what’s happening to improve their habitat now! Remember to bring: layers for the weather, walking shoes, a Discover Pass for parking, and water.
