Each month, a new artist transforms Artist Passage, our signature gallery space, into a curated showcase that reflects both their unique vision and the natural beauty surrounding our resort.

Event Details:

Meet Ryan Johnson - Ryan Johnson is a fine art photographer based in Cle Elum, Washington. Inspired by the rugged beauty and quiet stillness of the Pacific Northwest, Ryan explores themes of solitude, scale, and time. Through his work, Ryan seeks to create images that feel both timeless and deeply personal, encouraging a moment of reflection and connection with the natural world. Ryan specializes in black and white landscapes, blending modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. While he captures images digitally, Ryan creates prints through analogue darkroom processes, combining liquid chemistry and hands-on printing techniques to produce distinctive, one-of-a-kind works. This fusion of contemporary and classical methods allows for a level of tonal control, depth, and character not often found in photography today.
