World Rhythms workshop for kids
Elementary kids will explore rhythms from Africa, the Caribbean, & Brazil with drumming, dance, & story in this educational & engaging class with our special guest teacher, Jill Lambson-Nirk! This world music experience is brought to you by guest teacher Jill Lambson-Nirk, MA, LMHCA & MME's own Mr. Micah. Jill has a Bachelor of Music from Cornish College of the Arts & has performed with Cornish chamber ensemble The Millenium Players, the University of Washington bands, the CWU Wind Ensemble, as well as the NW's premier Indonesian gong-chime orchestra, Gamelan Pacifica. Jill's interest in world music extends into writing & storytelling & she is pleased to be able to incorporate these cultural components into classes for kids. Jill also has a private therapy practice in Roslyn, WA. In her spare time, she can be found working on her upcoming children's books, The Adventures of Pippa & Penny.
