Yakima Symphony Orchestra and CWU Orchestra present ?Music of Fantasia? Friday, Nov. 8 7:30 p.m. Jerilyn McIntyre Music Building Concert Hall $5 for CWU students/seniors, $10 for general admission and available at www.cwu.edu/tickets. The Yakima Symphony Orchestra (YSO) is partnering with the CWU Orchestra to present ?Music of Fantasia.? This second classical series program in the Yakima Symphony Orchestra?s 2013-14 ?Musical Milestones? season features a centennial commemoration of Igor Stravinsky?s ?The Rite of Spring,? one of the most important and influential compositions of the 20th century. Members of the CWU Orchestra will join the YSO on stage in a performance of this groundbreaking work. The program also includes two other works from ?Fantasia? - Beethoven?s sixth symphony ?Pastorale? and Paul Dukas? ?The Sorcerer?s Apprentice.?
