Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities 

Provide administrative and project management support to the Executive Director Responsibilities will include developing staff schedules, coordinating volunteers, scheduling meetings, creating presentation documents for meetings and ensuring they run smoothly.  A key responsibility is preparing the marketing timeline in conjunction with the Executive Director and monitoring adherence to it.

 

Act as a cohesive team player. Seek the input and feedback of the group to develop programs, plans and materials. Resourcefully bring the best information into play and determine the best method of execution.  Reflect this in the communication of all touchpoints: website; social media; newsletter; press releases; events; etc.

 

Develop marketing and communication materials. Develop and incorporate high quality marketing content (visual and messaging) into the communications of Gallery One to help us meet our goals.  Oversee all mailings (including bulk mailings of printed material).  Generate monthly e-newsletter and develop promotional material and press releases.  The marketing content should consistently be reflected in all products above as well as in the following web-based products below.

 

Manage web presence and ensure information provided (on exhibitions, events, sponsors, music, etc.) is current and accurate and keeps pace with other similar websites.  Monitor online activity and maintain regular and consistent posts on social media.

 

Maintain accurate records, databases, and the daily tally of visitors entering the gallery.  Update strategic dashboard, track and report constituent demographics. 

 

Demonstrate proficiency in the technology required to develop marketing plans and programs.  Determine the best forms of technology and media to effectively deliver our messages.

 

Advocate the power of art to create community.  Act as a goodwill ambassador for Gallery One and foster its goals in all public aspects from the front desk and customer sales to customer support, donor recognition and customer recordkeeping.   Act as a liaison in the community with Ellensburg Downtown Association; Chamber of Commerce and other key partners and community members in developing special events

 

Education 

A college degree or equivalent experience. 

 

Skill Set 

Experience in developing marketing communications, administrative support, customer management and satisfaction practices, event planning, fundraising and overall project and business management. 

Proficiency in business technology:   Creative Suite; Microsoft Office products; WordPress or other web design; video editing, and social media platform management.

 

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds occasionally. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machine, and computer printer as well as basic carpentry tools such as drills, hammer, ladders.
