Full job description
Valley Play Museum is looking for part-time associates to join our team (15-30 hours/week). In our Museum Staff & Barista roles, not only will you find a job that is interesting and engaging, but there is room to make it your own.Our mission at Valley Play Museum is to be an interactive, hands-on space for children that stimulates curiosity and engages the whole family in learning through play. We value the beauty found in community connection, learning, nature, science, and art.
As a unique space with engaging exhibits built for the whole family, we need energetic, friendly, and reliable people to fill our part-time museum staff positions. Duties would include, but are not limited to helping kids and families, ringing up customers, taking payments, making espresso drinks, answering customers questions on exhibits and products, answering phone calls, cleaning, stocking inventory. A general friendly demeanor with kids and ability to engage their caregivers is a must. Customer service and barista experience is desired but not required.
**Not required: Looking for individuals who have an interest in teaching our classes or helping run special events (i.e. art lessons, dance classes, wellness events, STEM projects, and more).

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17 per hour with .50 pay increase at 6 months
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
