Youth Coordinator
Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator – 509teens & KCRCO Youth Services
Location: Kittitas County, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Compensation: $22–$26/hour, plus health stipend
About Us:
Our youth services program is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and enriching opportunities for youth ages 12-17 in Kittitas County. Currently, the 509teens Youth Group offers monthly recreational events and a weekly after-school program on Wednesdays, providing fun and engaging activities for local youth.
In addition to these recreational opportunities, we are expanding our services to include educational programs and mentorship opportunities aimed at empowering young people, building essential life skills, and fostering meaningful connections within the community. These new services focus on prevention, early intervention, and positive youth development.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and organized Youth Program Coordinator to lead the development and execution of our educational and mentorship programs while supporting the continued success of the 509teens Youth Group and KCRCO Youth Services. This role will play a vital part in creating meaningful, impactful experiences for youth in our community.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead educational programs and mentorship opportunities focused on life skills, leadership, and prevention strategies.

Plan and execute monthly recreational events and weekly after-school activities for the 509teens Youth Group.

Collaborate with the Youth Leader to ensure the smooth delivery of all programs and activities.

Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all youth participants.

Build and maintain strong relationships with youth, families, volunteers, and community partners.

Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors for the mentorship programs.

Monitor program outcomes and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

Promote the 509teens Youth Group and expanded youth services through community outreach and social media.
Qualifications:

Certified Peer Counselor with youth and family certification (preferred but not required, equivalent experience will be considered).

Experience working with youth in recreational, educational, or mentoring settings.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Passion for empowering youth and understanding of prevention and early intervention approaches.

Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to diverse needs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in program coordination or youth development.

Familiarity with resources and services for youth and families in Kittitas County.

Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
