About Us

The High Country Log Show is a exciting annual event that takes place over Labor Day Weekend in beautiful Roslyn, Washington. The Log Show began in 2011 to celebrate the timber industry in Upper Kittitas County during Roslyn’s 125th anniversary celebration.

Our log show consists of events from loggings past and present and draws competitors and teams from Deming to the north, Buckley to the west and beyond. Log Show events include chainsaw competitions, high climbing, hand bucking, axe throwing and unlimited hot saws to name a few.

There is a beer garden, T-shirt sales, food vendors, kid’s activities and more. Admission to the log show is free and donations are welcome.

Beginning in 2015 the High Country Log Show honors a member of the timber community that has dedicated years to the logging industry. The 2015 Bull Of The Woods was Claude Renfro, the 2016 Bull Of The Woods was Don Hill, & the 2017 Bull of the Woods was Steve Jones was 2017, the 2018 Bull of the Woods was The Montgomery Brothers (Orville, Claude & Ron), and Larry Bannister was the 2019 Bull of the Woods.
