Expand your world view through an exploration of language around the world at CWU’s 14th Annual World Languages Day. On May 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the SURC, attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in culture and language. This event is free and open to the public. The seven languages taught at CWU will be represented, including Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). Additional event highlights include “Dancing across the Seven Seas; Life on Board a Cruise Ship” and “Iran: Misunderstood Ancient Culture of Mysticism and Poetry.” During the event, presentations and performances will be held in various locations throughout the SURC. Attendees can expect informal sessions centered around language barriers, socio-political hurdles and fun games to experience language firsthand.
