9th Annual Rock Against Rape to Raise ft. Cobra Hawk
Students, staff and faculty are joining forces to combat rape and sexual assault through music, live art demonstrations, games and conversation. Ellensburg rock band Cobra Hawk will be performing throughout the event, and the band members are looking forward to raising awareness about rape and sexual assault. "I think sexual assault is a bigger problem than some people may realize," the group stated. "If our music or our performance can help spread the message of the event, then we feel a sense of duty to do so." Live art demonstrations will be held during the event. Artists will paint, draw and sketch a work of art that ties into the event’s theme, and winners will be chosen after they create their piece. Free food and drinks will also be available, and guests can sport a free t-shirt to continue showing support for wellness and preventative initiatives shared at Rock Against Rape. For more information about this event, please contact the CWU Wellness Center at wellness@cwu.edu. Persons of disability may make arrangements for reasonable accommodation by emailing DS@cwu.edu.
