Basic Mediation Training / Alternative Dispute Resolution
The Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties is offering a Basic Mediation Training where trainees will receive 40 hours of instruction in the skills necessary to serve as a neutral third-party mediator, including hands-on experience in mediation and invaluable communication and listening tools that can help in every aspect of people’s work and home lives.
Date and Time
Friday Mar 12, 2021 Sunday Mar 14, 2021
Class will be held over the weekends of March 12-14 and 26-28, 2021.
Fridays, class will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, class will be held via Zoom. Both audio and video capabilities are required.
Fees/Admission
The cost for this training is $500 but is significantly reduced for those who commit to volunteering. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers are especially needed, and stipends are available to those who qualify.
