Former Central Washington University Professor Dorothy Purser began at Central in 1957 and dedicated her career to CWU?s nationally credited paramedic program. At Central she transformed the medic program, taught swimming, and coached basketball and field hockey. Purser passed away in 2002. Her impact was farreaching and unforgettable. To honor her contributions, the CWU Board of Trustees has renamed the Physical Education building Dorothy Purser Hall. Help us celebrate Purser's legacy at the Purser Hall Dedication Ceremony Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the lobby of the former Physical Education Building. Join us as we gather with alumni, faculty, and community members to share Purser memories.
