Central Washington University presents its annual Brass Blowout May 19, 2008 Contact: Jeffrey Snedeker, (509) 963-1226, fax: (509) 963-1239, email: snedeker@cwu.edu ELLENSBURG, Wash.-On Saturday, May 31, at 2:00 pm in the CWU Music Building Concert Hall, the brass area of the CWU Music Department will present its annual ?Brass Blowout.? This concert is an annual favorite, featuring student brass ensembles of all types: trumpets, horns, trombones, euphoniums, and tubas playing literature from all musical style periods. The concert will culminate in Alfred Reed?s Othello, a symphonic portrait for brass based on the Shakespeare play. The concert promises to have something for every musical taste, and is free and open to the public.
