Community auditions for the Central Theatre Ensemble fall production of ?Scrooge?s Christmas,? by Ken Jones, will be held Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in McConnell Auditorium. Two adults and three to four children will be cast. None of the roles are gender specific and everyone is welcome to participate, however children must be old enough to read the script to participate in the production. Those auditioning will be asked to read a provided scene and may be asked to sing part of a holiday tune a cappella. ?No advance preparation is required,? says Director Keith Edie. ?We are just looking for people of all ages who are willing and able to have fun and imagine.? Rehearsals begin Sept. 28 and will be held Tuesday through Friday evenings and most Saturday afternoons until opening. Performances are Nov. 20 and 21 and Dec. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m., Nov. 21 and Dec. 5 and 6 at 2 p.m. There is also a weekday matinee for school groups on Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. Those with schedule conflicts on performance dates should not audition.
