The CWU Flute Choir, under the direction of professor Hal Ott, will present a free concert on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the CWU Music Building Recital Hall. The concert will feature the world premiere of work by CWU alumnus flutist/composer Clifford Dunn. The flute choir will serve as the accompanying ensemble, and Dunn will perform as soloist on his one-of-a-kind Kingma system flute. This unique instrument has the capability of producing quarter steps and microtones; there are only two instruments like it in the world. Other pieces on the program include Cecil Effinger's ?Cloud Forms,? Ryohei Hirose's ?Blue Train? and the humorous and theatrical ?Promenade? by Alain Louvier. Persons of disability may make arrangements for reasonable accommodation by calling (509) 963-1103 or (for hearing impaired) TDD (509)963-2143.
