CWU Flute Choir to Perform
On Thursday, Feb. 4 the CWU Flute Choir, under the direction of Dr. Hal Ott, will perform at 7 p.m. in the CWU Music Building Recital Hall. The program will consist of several pieces written for small ensembles and two works for the full flute choir. The small ensemble works include pieces for four, five and six flutes: ?Trois Pieces by Eugene Bozza, ?Martinata e Fughetta? by Leonardo de Lorenzo, and ?Rondo Caprice? by Joshua Missal. They are both by composer Kelly Via and will be conducted by student conductors. ?Appalachian Suite? will be conducted by Rachel LaBerge, a master?s student in Flute Performance, and ?Three Korean Folks Songs? will be conducted by Thomas Hamilton, a senior Flute Performance major. The concert is free and open to the public. Persons of disability may make arrangements for reasonable accommodation by calling (509) 963-1103 or (for hearing impaired) TDD (509) 93-2143.
