Free and open to the public, non-perishable food items will be accepted for Fish Food bank.
Those looking for a spooktacular Halloween thrill need not to look any further than “The Haunting at Central," which will take over CWU’s North campus at Alford-Montgomery Hall (Al-Monty), located at 1505 N Alder Street, Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on both nights. This haunted attraction is free and open to the public, but donations of non-perishable food items for Ellensburg’s Fish Food Bank are encouraged and will be accepted at the event.
“The Haunting at Central” aims to provide safe and fun activities for CWU students and the community during Halloween week. Multiple university departments have collaborated on the event’s production, and various clubs and organizations will host activities for thrill-seekers waiting to get into the haunted house, which will be the main event of the evening.
“88.1 The ‘Burg will be there playing music, and University Recreation will have glow-in-the-dark activities,” said J.D. Charest, one of the event's student organizers. “This is going to be a really fun thing for everybody involved. This is going to be a real haunted house; it is going to scare the heck out of people.”
