CWU Percussion Ensemble to perform
CWU Percussion Ensemble to perform May 12, 2008 Contact: Mark Goodenberger, 509-963-1618, fax: 509-963-1239, email: goodenbm@cwu.edu ELLENSBURG, Wash.-The Central Washington University Percussion Ensemble, directed by CWU faculty member Mark Goodenberger, will present their final concert of the year on May 21st at 7pm in the Concert Hall of the Music Building on the Ellensburg campus. The ensemble, which can always be counted on to provide imaginative and fascinating entertainment, will perform exotic percussion pieces influenced by the music of Brazil, Cuba and Puerto Rico, as well as the thrilling "Sacrificial Rite" by David Gillingham. Senior Aaron Julyan will be the featured soloist on a soothing marimba concerto by Eric Ewazen and the group will close with Tito Puente's famous "Oye Como Va." Bring the entire family to this fun and exciting event! Admission is free.
