CWU presents Mahler?s Symphony No. 2: 200 musicians on stage
Gustav Mahler?s Symphony No. 2, The Resurrection Symphony, is the first all-embracing work of the Austrian composer's symphonies to make use of voices as well as the orchestra, and on Sunday, May 17 at 4 p.m. in the Jerilyn S. McIntyre Music Building Concert Hall the CWU Symphony Orchestra will join members of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra to present Mahler?s masterpiece. In support of Mahler?s work and vision, this production will be accompanied by the Yakima Symphony Chorus, the CWU Men?s Chorus and the CWU Women?s Chorus. Don't miss this epic concert event, with more than 200 musicians on stage! Doors open at 3 p.m. and patrons are encouraged to arrive early to be seated by 3:50 p.m. The cost of admission is $20 for the general public, $10 for seniors, children and students with a student ID, and advance ticket purchase is highly recommended at www.cwu.edu/tickets.
