Central Music is going into full swing this spring with their first ever “Day of Music”, and they’re set to blast their rifts from the rooftops on Thursday, April 13. With the Day of Music, music students will create community connections and learn what it takes to book their own shows and venue spaces—all while sharing their musical prowess with Downtown Ellensburg. “We truly believe in the power of music and in the beauty of sharing music with people around us,” said Sara Carroll, an advising and recruiting specialist for the Music Department. From classical arrangements to Broadway tunes, the collaboration with local businesses brings a variety of music to the streets of the town. One jazz group is even set to cap the day off by participating in the “Girl’s Night Out” event at the 420 Building. Full event details may be found here: http://www.cwu.edu/music/day-music-2017
