Earth Day Family Festival
The Museum of Culture and Environment, in conjunction with Kittitas County Solid Waste, is proud to host the second annual Earth Day Family Festival on Saturday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will feature educational and informational activities for the whole family. Join in our Salmon Run 5k/10k, visit the greenhouse, learn about strawberry DNA, and have your face painted! Local dance groups TusuyPeru and TroupeRose will be performing in the afternoon, and Winegar's will be on hand, giving away free ice cream to the first 150! There will be a raffle drawing at 1:30 for great prizes donated by local businesses, including Pizza Colin! There will be free document shredding and drug take back in Parking Lot O-5 on D Street, and Waste Management Tucks to visit just behind Dean Hall. This event will be held at the Museum of Culture and Environment in Dean Hall on the Central Washington University Campus. Participating agencies include: Kittitas County Solid Waste RSVP and Volunteer Center of Kittitas County Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, SHIBA Program Kittitas County Sheriff Office CWU Police and Parking Services Kittitas County Community Network Yakama Nation Fisheries
