ELLENSBURG FILM FESTIVAL
OCTOBER 2-4, 2009 in downtown Ellensburg, WA
The Ellensburg Film Festival is committed to the film education, exposure, and enrichment of our local community.
The festival offers a wide spectrum of local and global cultural, artistic, and innovative diversity through educational programs, forums, and entertaining visual experiences. By offering viewers quality films, we can expand their knowledge of cinema and enhance their appreciation of the filmmaking process.
For film professionals and the interested public it provides the opportunity to gain industry knowledge through interaction. In addition, the Ellensburg Film Festival provides a platform for students, colleagues, and members of the community to exhibit their work, experience networking opportunities, advance local economic activity, and promote a high standard of excellence.
Since its inception in 2004, the three-day Ellensburg Film Festival has grown into a major film and arts event in the Northwest with over 2,000 people in attendance. The three-day festival is noted for its outstanding selection of critically acclaimed films, numerous screenings and venues, diverse cultural and artistic offerings, and a fun and relaxed atmosphere open to all.
Each year, the EFF films go on to win the most prestigious awards in the industry. Man on Wire, which screened at last year’s festival, won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. Our 2007/2008 titles were featured at over 200 festivals worldwide, including the Cannes, Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, and New York festivals. We were particularly honored when chosen to host the North American premiere of the 2007 Cannes winner in front of the sold-out EFF audience!
This year we have even more events in the works. Be sure to check out Schedule of Events calendar below. We are continually working hard to bring a wide range of entertainment and opportunities to you.
