?Fed Up Central? Follow-Up: Wrapping Up the Sugar-Free Challenge
Fed Up Central has challenged CWU students to eliminate sugar from their diets, and whether or not you joined CWU for the screening of the documentary film ?Fed Up? last Tuesday, there?s still time for you to get involved. ?Fed Up,? is an examination of America?s obesity epidemic and the food industry?s role in perpetuating the problem. Everyone at the event was encouraged to take the Fed Up Challenge, to live sugar-free for 10 days. Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. in Hogue Hall room 101 brings a great follow-up event to wrap up the challenge, offer participants a little ?sweet talk,? and maybe, just maybe, present a chance to win a cool prize. This event is free and open to the public. Personal dietary health awareness is not a one-time thing, and the Fed Up Central challenge aims to give students a glimpse of what it?s like to live sugar free and to consider the long-term benefits a healthy lifestyle offers. This follow-up event provides an opportunity to learn more about sugar and health, and how they relate to each other, and will show participants ways to fight back against the ?not-so-sweet? food environment in which we live.
