For some unfortunate areas of the world, malaria is still widely pervasive and carries a high mortality rate. While curable, many Sub-Saharan African counties still struggle with eradicating it completely. As part of a local effort, CWU Wesley and Imagine No Malaria are teaming up to put their best foot forward with a 5k run or walk through the CWU campus on Saturday, Nov. 15 beginning at 10 a.m. Registration is $15, due Nov. 14 and available at https://runsignup.com/Race/WA/Ellensburg/ImagineNoMalaria5k. T-shirts will be provided for runners to represent the cause and wear during the run. This event is open to the public.
The 5k will start at Alder Recreation Complex and move through the CWU campus, ending back where it started. Water stations will be available during the run. For a full map of the run, please visit http://routebuilder.org/v88.
