Join CWU’s Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA) chapter in celebrating diversity for a good cause at their very first MEChA dance Saturday, May 9 from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom. Tickets are $5 for CWU students, $8 general admission and free for mothers and children under 10. All money collected will go towards 2015 CWU Latino graduates.
Dance activities will include live music (DJ and banda), live mariachis, folkloric dancers, children’s activities, mother’s day raffle, and food and refreshments.
MEChA is a national organization with the goal of promoting student higher education, culture and history around La Raza youth. The CWU chapter is dedicated to providing essential tools to facilitate education across campus and bolsters a healthy membership of students.
