John Pickett and guests to perform at CWU September 8, 2008 Contact: John Pickett, (509) 963-1246, fax: (509) 963-1239, email: pickettj@cwu.edu ELLENSBURG, Wash.-On September 28 at 7:00 PM in the CWU Concert Hall, CWU faculty pianist John Pickett along with guest violinist, Denise Dillenbeck and cellist, Sally Singer, will present a recital of solo and chamber works that feature the music from Beethvoven's last period. John Pickett will begin the program with the profoundly expressive Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109. He will be then joined by Denise Dillenbeck and Sally Singer to perform Beethoven's "Archduke" Piano Trio, one of the most beautiful in all of the chamber literature. Denise Dillenbeck is currently a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has just moved to Ellensburg and is recently married to CWU Music professor, Mark Goodenberger. Sally Singer is artist in residence with the Icicle Creek Music Center.
