Kittitas County Department of Public Works is hosting two public meetings on April 19 and April 20 to discuss updates to the county's Road Standards. The proposed updates will impact the development community, land purchasers, and general public. During the public meetings, attendees will be able to learn about the updates through handouts, display boards, a formal presentation, and one-on-one discourse with County personnel. They will also have opportunities to ask questions and comment on the proposed updates.
Kittitas County Road Standards are requirements for developers and other private parties constructing or modifying roads that need county permits or are required by a land use activity. The County also uses the standards for its own construction of new County roads or reconstruction of existing roads.
