Kris Orlowski Concert
Seattle based singer-songwriter Kris Orlowski will give Central Washington students and community members an exclusive performance, playing songs from his latest album Often in the Pause as well as fan favorites from previous albums. Orlowski is performing at the CWU Student Union at 8:00 p.m. on May 4, 2017, days before he and his band hit the stage at Seattle's latest music festival, the "Upstream Music Fest". The group performed at Bumbershoot in 2015 and 107.7 The End’s Summer Camp music festival in 2016. On his latest record Often in the Pause, Orlowski continues to explore themes of authenticity, loss and a search for connection, according to his website. His meditative, melodic dream pop incorporates elements of alt-country and soft rock, creating a sound that is timeless and authentically American. Songs have been featured on primetime television, setting the tone for episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Tomorrow People and Hart of Dixie.
