Lion Rock Reading: Amy Quan Barry
Poet and novelist Amy Quan Barry will visit Central Washington University this month as part of the Lion Rock Visiting Writers series. On Wednesday, April 12th, Barry will read from her work at 7:30pm in the Student Union Ballroom. Earlier that day, she will give a craft talk titled "Navigating the Ineffable" at noon in Black Hall room 151. Both events are free and open to the public. Her books will be available for sale courtesy of the CWU Wildcat Shop after the 7:30pm event. Barry has won numerous awards, including the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize, fellowships from Stanford University, the Wisconsin Institution for Creative Writing, the Wisconsin Arts Board, and the National Endowment for the arts. She is the author of four books of poetry, and a novel, She Weeps Each Time You're Born, a magical realist story set in Viet Nam.
