Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series Presents Creative Nonfiction Writer Brandon Schrand Tuesday, April 29 7:30 p.m. Wildcat Shop The Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series at CWU is pleased to welcome creative nonfiction writer Brandon Schrand, a Moscow, Idaho based writer who teaches in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Idaho. Schrand is the author of Works Cited: An Alphabetical Odyssey of Mayhem & Misbehavior, which was published in 2013, and The Enders Hotel: A Memoir, the 2007 River Teeth Literary Nonfiction Prize winner and a 2008 Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers selection. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Sports Illustrated, The Utne Reader, Tin House, Ecotone, and numerous other publications. He has won the 2006 Willard R. Espy Award, Shenandoah?s 2008 Carter Prize, the Pushcart Prize, four Pushcart Prize Special Mentions and he has had Notable Essays in the Best American Essays 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2013. Join Schrand for his reading Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the CWU Wildcat Shop. Books will be on sale at the event courtesy of the Wildcat Shop. Admission is free and open to the public.
