The CWU Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series hosts it?s final writer for Spring quarter this month, featuring poet and author Tim Siebles. The CWU and Ellensburg communities are invited to attend this free reading and interactive discussion Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Theatre. Preceding his presentation, Siebles will offer a Craft Talk reception at 3 p.m. at the Museum of Culture and Environment (MCE) in the Dean Hall lobby, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet Siebles and participate in a discussion about his work. Siebles is a visiting professor at the Stonecoast MFA Writing Program sponsored by the University of Southern Maine, is the author of several poetry collections and has had work featured in several literary anthologies. He was one of five poetry finalists for the 2012 National Book Award and in 2013 he received the Pen Oakland Josephine Miles Award for poetry and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Misericordia University for his literary accomplishments.
