Lunch and Lecture Series January 16th, 2009? (Ellensburg, WA) The Kittitas County Historical Museum welcomes archaeologist Brandon Syvrowsky as the next speaker in our Lunch and Lecture series. Enjoy your brown bag lunch during the presentation of: ?Historic Horse Drive Traps of Central Idaho? Friday, January 16th, 2009 at 12:00 ? 12:45 pm. Between 1993 and the present, Brandon has worked approximately 60 medium- and large-scale cultural resource inventories and excavation projects throughout the western United States. He is proficient in archaeological data recovery and inventory techniques, and has an understanding of state and federal regulations concerning field conduct and cultural resource investigation. Brandon?s discussion will analyze and interpret the architectural elements that differ between historic and aboriginal drive trap facilities in the Challis area of central Idaho. This work will help archaeologists understand historic feral horse gathering strategies, as well as the function and target species of possible drive trap features.
