Lunch and Lecture
October 17th, 2008? (Ellensburg, WA) The Kittitas County Historical Museum will be kicking off its annual Lunch and Lecture Series with a special talk from Jack Powell, Geologist with the Department of Natural Resources. His talk, ?Geological Formation of the Kittitas Valley,? will be held: Friday, October 17th, 2008 from 12:00 pm until 12:45 pm. Listen to the spirited orations of local geologist, Jack Powell, while you enjoy your brown bag lunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to ask questions and learn about the amazing geological processes that formed our valley. Having graduated from Central Washington University in 1974 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology, Jack moved on to receive his Masters of Science degree in Geology, as well, from the University of Idaho in 1980. From 1981 until 1993, he taught geology at Central Washington University. Since 1993, Jack has been working as a geologist with the Department of Natural Resources in Ellensburg. Admission is free, and donations are merrily accepted. For more information, please feel free to visit the Kittitas County Historical Museum at 114 East Third Avenue in the historic Cadwell Building.
