Mammoth Dig at Wenas Creek!
The Wenas Creek Mammoth Project focuses on the recovery of an Ice Age mammoth, other associated animals and artifacts, while placing these in their physical geographical context.
For the 4th field season, they will be excavating at the site using techniques from archaeology, paleontology, and geography. This summer the crew of CWU students and others expects to expose many more mammoth bones. Come see what they find, and how they find it!
Free to the public (donations gladly accepted).
