Operating Engineers Top Hand Competition
Our Top Hand Competition at our training facility will be held on Saturday, June 19 from 10 a.m. ? 4 p.m. This event is open to the public and is a rare opportunity to see heavy equipment up close and personal. Highly skilled operators will display their talents as they go head-to-head in a contest to be crowned the best of the best.
During the event, there will be an opportunity for the public to operate heavy equipment and also climb and operate the 100-foot Tower Crane. There will be three different equipment simulators: crane, motor grader, and excavator that replicate the feeling of operating heavy equipment. There will also be plenty of activities for the youngsters including: jumpy houses, hay hunt, face painting, balloon animals, sandbox fun, and more. Other fun activities include a FREE BBQ lunch, FREE raffle prizes, the chance to smash cars using an Excavator and to soak the Training Center Staff in dunk tanks. All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Relay for Life.
Our Training Coordinators and other staff members will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the Apprenticeship Program or Training Center. Come visit your neighborhood Training Center and watch us in action!
