Nov 8. | 4 p.m. SURC Theatre | Free Open to everyone Peggy Orenstein, author of “Girls & Sex and the Importance of Talking to Young Women About Pleasure” as well as “Cinderella Ate My Daughter” will be talking at Central in the Student Union and Recreation Center Theatre Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. This event is open for everyone to attend. Orenstein offers up a big picture view of the new sexual landscape girls face in the post-princess stage—high school through college. She also reveals how girls are negotiating it, she draws upon over 70 young women and wide range of psychologists, academics and experts to help explain the experience many young women face. Orenstein pulls back the curtain on hidden truths, hard lessons and important possibilities of girl’s sex lives in the modern world.
