Polyfest 2016
Central Washington University is home to a plethora of diversity. On Thursday, May 19 explore the rich cultural values of the Polynesian Islands with our very own Polynesian club, Poly Central. Polyfest 2016 will officially kickoff at 7 p.m. in McConnell Theatre and will be free and open to the public. Polyfest is a cultural celebration of Polynesia through art, dance and food. Poly Central will take the audience on a theatrical tour of six islands including Samoa, Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti and New Zealand. At each island a brief lesson will be shared about its origins and traditions. Arrive early at 5 p.m. to get a taste of authentic Polynesian food prepared by the students of Poly Central.
