Rare Buddhist Relics on Display in Spokane
The Heart Shrine Relic Tour, a rare collection of more than 1,000 relics of the Buddha and other Buddhist masters from Chinese, Indian, and Tibetan traditions. Some of these relics were salvaged from statues in Tibet where they had been enshrined for thousands of years before the Communist occupation in 1959; others came as donations from museums and monasteries. A program of Buddhist talks and inter-religious dialogues will accompany the relic display. There is no admission charge to view the relics. All are welcomed.
