Rick Steves' Iran
Television host, writer, and producer Rick Steves encourages travelers to be unafraid of new experiences and to assume the role of a ?temporary local? when visiting foreign countries.
Recently Steves expanded beyond his trademark European travels when he visited Iran, which he calls a ?most surprising and fascinating land.? He toured the country?s monuments, experienced modern Iranian life in its historical capital and countryside, and got to know its people in a way most Americans have not?through real-life interaction. His Iranian travel story was originally aired on PBS.
Steves is perhaps best known for finding and sharing information on how to travel at a fraction of the typical cost. Through books, syndicated news columns, and television and radio shows, he gives the new and seasoned traveler alike a broad, experienced perspective on how to see the world on a budget.
