Seattle, WA – Live Nation and Guerilla Union welcome ROCK THE BELLS 2008 featuring A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, and many more to the Gorge on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.  

The ROCK THE BELLS 2008 INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SERIES POWERED BY SANDISK once again is marked by the leading hip-hop line-up seen on one bill this year featuring additional performances by Wale, Jay Electronica and Kidz In The Hall, as well as recently added acts MF Doom, Sage Francis, Blue Scholars, Just Blaze, Black Violin, Afrika Bambaataa, The Dirty Heads and touring DJ Green Lantern. This year will be highlighted with an unexpected reunion of The Pharcyde with all four original members. But it does not stop there, as fans will also see performances by the brightest names in the the emerging electro-hip hop scene including Spank Rock, The Cool Kids and Amanda Blank, with hosts Scratch for the legendary Roots crew and the world renowned Supernatural.

Event organizer Chang Weisberg of Guerilla Union is thrilled with the possibilities of this year’s festival series stating:  “There has been a tremendous amount of artist support for Rock The Bells. Every day there will be a definitive moment in live hip hop history. There will be a number of surprise performances and additional acts planned for each city.”

Guerilla Union’s ROCK THE BELLS 2008 INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SERIES POWERED BY SANDISK, has established itself as a world-class hip-hop platform by hosting legendary performances by Rage Against the Machine, NAS, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, Lauryn Hill, Blackstar (Talib Kweli and Mos Def), Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill and Jurassic 5 as well as reuniting Wu-Tang for their last performance with ODB in 2004.  In 2007 it was the top-grossing hip-hop event in the country.
