ELLENSBURG, Wash.− Ellensburg Rodeo will crown the 2011 Rodeo Queen and Rodeo Princess on January 29 at the Royal Court Banquet. The banquet kicks-off at 6 p.m. with a social hour, followed by a catered dinner at 7 p.m. The three contestants begin the final section of the judged competition at 8 p.m.
The three contestants, Jessica Hansberry, Emily Haberman and Marisa Wickerath, are scored by 28 judges, including 17 Rodeo board members and 11 allied organization representatives. The allied voting members include: Fair Board, Rodeo Posse, Top Hands, Calf Roper’s Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Ellensburg Kiwanis, Cattlemen’s Association, Past Royalty Association, Past Rodeo Board Members, and the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame.
The judges watched the contestants’ riding presentations and the meet and greet on October 2. The competition will continue at the Royal Court Banquet where the girls will be competing and judged in modeling, speech and impromptu questions.
The banquet will be held at the Central Ballroom at Central Washington University.
