The Museum of Culture and Environment and the Wanapum Heritage Center present "Sacred Spaces," an exhibit that tells the story of petroglyphs from Whale Island, a sacred place for the Wanapum now submerged by the Columbia river.
There will be an opening event on February 3, 20100, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., during which visitors may participate in an opening ceremony led by Rex Buck, Jr., Wanapum. Following the ceremony, refreshments will be served and the exhibit will remain open for visitors to explore.
