?Sex, Drugs and Musical Theatre: A Cabaret of Real Issues?
Musical theatre communicates to audiences through song, dance and stage presence, and the Central Theatre Organization (CTO) is using these mediums to tackle real-world issues that affect today?s youth. ?Sex, Drugs and Musical Theatre: A Cabaret of Real Issues,? produced and performed entirely by CWU students, will address social issues such as bullying, suicide, sex and relationships. Admission is free and open to the public. Show times will be offered on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, both at 7 p.m., in the McConnell Hall Tower Theatre. The production aims to reach out to young people who may otherwise feel isolated and alone in their struggles, and to use the theatre arts as a means of connecting them with their peers. Don?t miss out on your chance to see an original production by Central students in their effort to speak on behalf of today?s youths.
