Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble to Combine for a Fall Concert

If you enjoy listening to the booming sounds of a large band or the more subtle sounds of a smaller wind ensemble, then this is a concert you?ll want to attend! The Central Washington University Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will present their joint fall concert on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 pm in the Concert Hall of the CWU Music Building. Each ensemble will perform a work by Elaine M. Ross, the department?s new faculty composition specialist. The Wind Ensemble will also be play a work composed by CWU student Sean Brown, which will feature soloist Matt Parsons on tuba. Each ensemble will have a CWU graduate student conduct a work: Dana Lede will be conduct the Wind Ensemble, Daniel Whitfield will be conduct the Symphonic Band.
