Thorp Mill Dinner and Auction
The Annual Thorp Mill Benefit Dinner and Auction is a highlight of Memorial Weekend. This annual event benefits the Thorp Mill, a national historic site and one of the oldest historical monuments in Eastern Washington. The event features buffet-style alder-cooked barbecue dinner in a beautiful rural setting, followed by silent and live auctions.
Doors open at 4:30pm, dinner at 5:00pm, and live auction begins at 6:30pm. For selected auction items and other details see http://www.thorp.org.
Free tours of the Thorp Mill precede the event.
This fundraiser is instrumental in keeping the Mill's doors open to history buffs and travelers in the summer, and groups any time. The Thorp Mill (circa 1883) is the oldest industrial artifact in Kittitas County.
